Erika Blackbird is a songwriter, vocalist and guitarist born and raised in Sandviken, a smalltown in the middle of Sweden. With simple lyrics that goes straight to your heart and with a naked and crystal clear voice she captures her audience. Every word Erika sings comes from deep within and reflects seriousness, sleepless nights, longing and love.

 

Her strength lies in her sensitive voice, skillfull fingerpicking and capturing storytelling. Regardless where Erika plays she touches the hearts of her listeners and leave them a little bit warmer and brighter than before they came.

 

Erika works closely with the band The Merit, based in Borlänge, Sweden. They play with her both live and in the studio.
